Homework week of August 29-September 9

Tuesday~
  • Read p. 8-11
  • narrate information onto p.13 in NB (notebook)
  • NB p. 23 finish filling in lab report from experiment 1 done in class.
  • Review vocabulary on Quizlet or play a memory game with notecards
Wednesday~
  • NB p. 15 Animal Careers and Predator/Prey

(Write about 2-3 animal careers and draw or find pictures to place in

appropriate section in NB. Then draw a picture of 2 animals that are

normally predators and prey but draw it so they are enjoying each other’s

company like the hamster and snake on p. 5 of textbook. See scripture

beside picture box if need help coming up with 2 animals.)

  • Go on Mrs. Miller’s Safari website. View the videos about animal careers and view links about animal camouflage information and zoo jobs . www.mrsmillersafari.blogspot.com
  • NB p. 18-19 complete Vocabulary Crossword
Thursday~
  • NB p. 17 optional scripture copywork
  • NB p. 14 Answer in complete sentences.
  • Begin researching famous zoologist, animal careers, or favorite animal.
Find at least 2 resources. Write 5 facts on notecard to share with class.
(See Friday’s homework before researching so you can choose something
that will help with project for next week. ) :)

Friday Sept. 2 through Sept. 9
  • NB p. 22 First Zoology Project prep begins for week of Labor Day, you will have the choice of working on the following: PROJECT DUE : September 12
research animal of choice and create a display of info learned
create a small diorama of an animal habit of your choice.
invent a game which uses predator vs. prey or camouflage
interview an animal of your choice. (include where it lives, what it likes to eat..etc.)
paint/draw a picture of an animal camouflaged by its surrounding
research habituation and how it is used to help the animal, write report with pictures
make a video of the day in the life of a zoo vet or animal of your choice to share
